The Story...the tripod was setup, just waiting on the sun to set to see what the skies would provide. Boy was I blown away. The tree in the center of the pic is a sycamore tree. This happy, good feeling photo (for me) is probably my all time favorite I've taken, I guess I like it so well because it has such vibrant colors. So in the end this sunset did not disappoint. The scene is Green River Lake, just above the Dam and the photo was taken in February 2017...about 10 minutes from my home.

* Modern digital cameras utilize a 3:2 aspect ratio. However, common (standard) print sizes such as 8x10, 11x14, etc., use a 5:4 ratio. To create a "common" print size would require this image to be cropped; and since all the elements in the photo, make the photo, so to speak, I chose to keep it full size without cropping.

About the photographer. Full time woodworker here, but when the weekend rolls around I head out somewhere in Kentucky looking for photographic opportunities. My main interests are in landscape, nature, architectural...but... pretty much anything that catches my attention will stop me in my tracks!

Your print will be professionally & directly shipped from the printing company to your door usually within 3-5 business days, or 1-2 days from my home if I have it in stock.
